Let's Knit Front Cover

One of my designs have made the front cover of Let's Knit for the second month in a row.  I did a happy dance when Let's Knit arrived today. I don't hink it'll be in the shops till next week. Excuse the foggy pic, it's taken on my mobile phone.
My garment is 'Candy' which is a summery tank top. The wide stripes are given a slant by a combination of increases and decreases and there's a pretty eyelet edging around the neckline, armholes and bottom hem. This little top knits up very quickly and is perfect for the hot summer we'll be having.
I'm sure we'll be getting a long, hot summer here in the UK this year. Most of the country has been declared a drought zone so that must mean we'll have lots of hot weather right? Try to ignore the fact that it's been raining since the drought was announced and that there are floods in several parts of the country. Get this little knit on your needles and the warm summer weather will be here soon (btw, I'm not making any promises, but whatever the weather this little top will cheer you up).

The yarn is Sirdar Baby Bamboo dk which is lovely to knit with. Thank you to Leni for knitting the sample for me. You can add it to your Ravelry queue here.

Next week I'm teaching Lace Improvers at Spin A Yarn on Tuesday and Purlescence in Wantage, Oxfordshire on Saturday.  I think there are a few spaces left on both days. Contact the shops to book. Remember, this is a day to improve your lace knitting. You don't have to be an expert already. All you need are some very basic lace knitting skills. If you've knitted a few yarn overs/yarn forwards you'll be fine. You don't need to have any chart reading experience. I'll teach you everything you need to know about charts. Come and join us.
